This spreads streaming spending across homes that pay and homes that do not. It is useful for market context, but it is not the bill sitting in your account.
Streaming households
The number closer to your bill
This covers homes that stream or subscribe. It usually runs higher because households without paid streaming are no longer part of the calculation.
There is no honest global average.
The four countries do not publish the same measurement. The U.S. figure comes from survey data. Canada and the U.K. rely partly on market revenue. Australia's all-household figure is an industry model.
That is why the page keeps local currencies, dates, and populations attached to every number. Converting them into one ranking would look precise and say less than the research does.
